The Journey of Open Air Classes
The Open Air Classes (OAC) project was born out of necessity—an effort to bring learning directly to children who had never been inside a classroom. The goal was simple yet profound: if children cannot reach schools, then schools must reach them.
What started with one group of 40 students now operates in three different locations, each providing structured yet interactive education. These sessions go beyond conventional classroom learning, integrating games, prayers, exercises, and creative activities to make education engaging and enjoyable.
Children are taught Hindi, English, and Mathematics, ensuring they develop essential literacy and numeracy skills. But OAC is not just about textbooks; it is about holistic learning. Every Sunday, the children gather in parks for special sessions on drawing, creativity, and skill-building games—an approach that nurtures not only their minds but also their imagination, confidence, and social skills.
Our mission is to transition these children into a more regular schooling system, ensuring that they do not just receive temporary guidance but a continuous and structured education.
