Hunger is one of the most pressing issues faced by underprivileged communities. For many families, securing even one meal a day is a struggle. Children go to bed hungry, elders endure weakness from malnutrition, and families are forced to make impossible choices between food and other basic necessities.
At OSHI Foundation, we believe that food is not a privilege—it is a fundamental right. Our Bhandara initiative is dedicated to organizing free food distribution programs for those in need. Through this campaign, we aim to ensure that no one in our community suffers from hunger, and that every individual, regardless of their circumstances, has access to nutritious and fulfilling meals.
We collect untouched surplus food from restaurants, corporate canteens, and events and distribute it to those in need. This not only reduces food wastage but also ensures that nutritious meals reach hungry communities.
The Bhandara program is a community-driven effort to provide fresh, nutritious, and wholesome meals to people in need, particularly those who are homeless, elderly, or financially struggling.
Our journey began with a small food distribution drive, feeding a handful of individuals. Over time, the impact grew, and today, our Bhandara events serve hundreds of people across different locations. These food distribution programs take place in temples, public spaces, slum areas, and shelters, ensuring that those who cannot afford a meal can receive nourishment without any barriers or discrimination.
The power of a single meal goes beyond just satisfying hunger. It gives hope to those in distress, energy to those struggling, and relief to those who have been neglected by society. Hunger strips people of their dignity. Our initiative ensures that everyone—regardless of background—can access food without shame or hesitation.

We prioritize daily wage workers, homeless individuals, underprivileged families, and the elderly who have no other means of securing a meal. We don’t just provide food—we ensure nutritious, balanced meals that contribute to better health and well-being.
Bhandara is more than just food distribution; it’s a movement that encourages community participation, generosity, and shared responsibility for those in need.
